Extensive cross country skiing is available throughout the Valley and there are plenty of easy well-groomed trails available.  There are 5 cross country areas in Valle d'Aosta with an array of choices to cross country ski.

The Dolomit Nordicski area of Italy has 10, regions and is Europe's largest area of cross country skiing, and comprising 1,300 Kms of tracks. The Dolomites are in North East Italy and are famous for their jagged peaks and pinnacles of coloured rock.
