Alta Badia is in Area 01 of the Dolomiti NordicSki zone. It's Cross Country Ski Centre is located in Saro/Armentarola, near St. Kassian. There are 25 km of cross country ski tracks which cover meadows and forests at the foot of mountain ranges - Conturines, Lavarella and Settsass. There are several skiing areas - Armentarola, Corvara, Armentara/La Val, San Cassiano.
The cross country ski trails in this area are suitable for classic and skating. There are seven routes of varying difficulty as well as a green practice track: Sass Dlacia, Ssar, Gran Ancii, Scotoni, Settsass, Störes and Conturines.
The last four tracks are intended as race or training trails. If there is insufficient snow, there is some snow making ability.

The cross country area of Corvara winds through sunny meadows and woods. The routes start at the Corvara ski school and lead to the neighbourhood of Pescosta. They are prepared for classic and skating, have little difference in elevation so are also suitable for beginners.
