Barbara Grogan
Barbara, originally from snowy Minnesota in the US, is a seasoned competitive cross-country skier turned coach. She’s led junior and master’s ski programmes, served as coach and wax tech for the US Paralympic Team, and since 2015, has been a Level 4 Cross Country Ski Coach and Senior Nordic Tutor with Snowsport England and London clubs. Twice a FIS Ski Leaders of Tomorrow delegate, Barbara thrives on fostering international connections and advancing the sport. Beyond the ski tracks, she specialises in health communications, using her expertise to promote active, connected communities.
Dagmar Junghanns
Dagmar is a well established Level 3 cross country ski coach. She loves to share her passion for skiing with others, leading on-snow ski trips each winter and teaching roller skiing all year round. She has been skiing for over 20 years and enjoys all aspects of cross country skiing, including touring, skill development and racing in ski marathons, with several recent age-group placings in classic and skate races. In particular she loves the sense of being at one with nature that is unique to cross-country skiing.
Adam has been skiing for longer than he can remember and his main focus is competing in the annual Masters World Championships (MWC, for which he is National Masters Director) and in the British Roller Ski Series. He is a Snowsport England Tutor and Level 3 Instructor, and has been coaching roller skiing and on-snow skiing for about 15 years. He offers roller ski technique and fitness coaching in the South of England and Midlands areas. He is able to offer on-snow coaching at all levels, and for those who are preparing to attend the MWC (see www.BMCCSA.org.uk ) and can travel abroad for this.
Peter is a former world class triathlete who represented GB and New Zealand at biathlon world cups, world championships and cross country FIS events. He also had a position with the Austrian Ski Federation as a biathlon coach teaching junior biathletes.
Peter is able to offer group or individual instruction in cross country skiing and roller skiing throughout Austria. where he lives and the surrounding countries.
He enjoys preparing participants for ski races, including pre-race training and wax techniques.
Fern Cates

Fern first learnt to roller ski in the UK and then took her skills to snow and started competing. 10 years later she has developed through the GB junior and senior ski team, training and studying full time in Sweden whilst qualifying and competing in the 2015 World Jnr Nordic Ski Champs and 2017 U23 & Senior World Nordic Championships.
She is a Snowsport England instructor and member of the FIS ‘Ski Leaders of Tomorrow’ global initiative. She was an active instructor for the London xc ski club and is now based in Chamonix, where she instructs on snow xc skiing, roller skiing and produces an online functional fitness classes.
