Forni di Sopra and Lorenzago Di Cadore are in Area 10 of the Dolomiti NordicSki zone. The villages are located in a vast, sunny basin in Carnia in the province of Udine and surrounded by the East-Friulian Dolomites. Forni di Sopra is a small resort with a circular cross country ski track, called "tagliamento" with 18 km - 2 km of which are floodlit and provided with artificial snow-making machines. The route leads along the valley bottom and is technically interesting with four circular tracks (1.35 km – 3.3 km, 3.5 km and 5 km). The other at Lorenzago di Cadore is 5 kilometres. The resorts are fine to visit for the day, but not really suitable for longer stays unless you are a beginner. The resorts of Padola and Cortina are within driving distance.

The tracks are ideal for classic style and skating with lengths of 2.5 - 5 km and the 2.5 km circular track is also floodlit.
